After over 10 amazing years, Como Asesinar a Felipes marks a new milestone: today the band premieres “Disparan (Fill the Skies)”, a theme developed in cooperation with The Deftones’ Chino Moreno. Available now as a single on all digital and streaming networks, this song is part of a more ambitious plan, and will eventually will be included with their upcoming album, tentatively scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.
On the origin of the collaboration, Chino Moreno details: “I received an email from Billy Gould with some songs from Como Asesinar a Felipes and I was captivated by the sound of the band. A few weeks later I met the boys when I went to Chile with Deftones. We talked about the track and how it could sound something together. I am very proud to have worked with such an incredible group from such an amazing country. ” The song was recorded by Chalo González in Estudios CHT and then edited by Foex. It was later produced and mixed by Billy Gould, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.
This single launch also celebrates with a string of dates, including a kickoff in Santiago, followed by a European tour of Serbia, Romania and Spain. A video for “Disparan (Fill the Skies)” is currently in the works.
